Inox IMAXX made my ear pain.

I recently watched Interstellar in IMAXX, and honestly, I'm not much of a movie person, but I decided to catch it since I missed it in theaters. Unfortunately, I was really let down by the overall sound experience. As a fan of Hans Zimmer, I could tell that it wasn't music; it felt more like just LOUD HARSH SOUND, which was such a contrast to the beautiful art they've created. On top of that, my ears have been hurting ever since I saw it at Inox, Wakad. I was covering my ears the whole time, which really took away from the enjoyment of the music. Looking back, I really wish I had booked the 2D show instead. What do you think? Has anyone experienced such? Edit: left ear*
