Favourite NGOs in Pune

My dad grew up in this city and has lived here his whole life. After a couple of very financially successful decades, he retired a while back. He’s pondering about giving back to society now and wants to get involved with some charitable activities. Rather than just giving money away, he’s interested in also working with NGOs at the ground-level to make things happen and drive impact. He has plenty of experience (and connections) dealing with local municipal bodies, politicians etc. as well as working with large professional teams to drive projects to success. What NGO/charitable organisation would you recommend he consider supporting financially as well as with his time?
