Does anyone else feel that most food places are overrated on Instagram and other apps?

I see a lot of posts with people calling a place the best for so and so. But I've tried them, they're average, at best. An example of this would be that chole bhature near Bharati. I've tried it. I don't think it's hygienic enough, as there's a naala right in front and the chole are extra spicy. Now I've tried chole bhature in the north, and they're simple and yet comforting.
