Security Guards Abusing and Threatening Residents – Unsafe in Susgaon
Hi everyone, I’m writing this because I’m genuinely shaken and frustrated by what happened tonight in Susgaon. Around 10:30 PM, a friend of mine came to visit me, and we had a horrifying encounter with the on-duty security guards. Both guards were visibly drunk and started hurling abuses at us, using words like “madarchod” and “bhenchod.” As if that wasn’t enough, one of them even pulled out a stick and threatened to beat my friend while yelling things like, “Who the f*** are you?” My friend was furious, and I felt completely unsafe and helpless. What’s even worse is that when this incident happened, the management and other residents of the society were just standing there, watching it happen. Instead of addressing the issue, they seemed to side with the guards! No action has been taken so far, and it’s incredibly disappointing and disheartening. I don’t blame the society as a whole, but the chairman seems to enable such behavior instead of fixing it. As a woman, this incident has left me feeling extremely vulnerable. The very place where I’m supposed to feel safe has become a source of fear. I’m sharing this here to ask for advice: What more can I do in this situation? How do I hold them accountable and ensure this doesn’t happen again? I hope nobody else ever has to deal with something like this. If anyone has suggestions on how to proceed, I’d really appreciate it.4
