PCMC RTO driving license test experience
I want to share my experience of getting my DL made at the PCMC RTO(Without agent) 1. Learning was a breeze. Due to some issue with adhar authentication, i had to go to Moshi and give the test. Arrive very early, go to first floor, get the biometrics done, do the video seminar, then give the test on their computer. You receive the result and LL immediately. 2. Driving test: i drive an automatic and have no experience on a manual. Borrowed a friend's car and practised H and gradient practice. Arrived early at IRDTS, at 8. The place was already buzzing with people, with almost all of them through a school. You enter the building, park inside please, by paying 10rs. Then you go to the first building to your right. Go to counter 3, get your receipt. He will ask which school. You say none and he tells you 300rs fees for track and car usage. So please carry cash. He then asks you to go to first floor in the same building and wait for an instructor who would give you the instructions. But the instructor only arrives at 9. So you need to wait. You may be disappointed with the fact that people through a driving school have started their tests as early as 8. Perhaps even without an inspector on site. There was only one other guy who wasn't with an agent. We both waited. The instructor was on time. Took our forms, filed them well. Gave us instructions about the test. How to make the 8, or the slope test. Tells you the dos and donts very politely. He then asks you to proceed to the test site, around 100m further in the same campus. He tells you the guys name who you would meet there. You stand in the queue, sign the register. The first instructor arrives there and he makes you then stand in a queue of any driving school. They have the setting. And he repeatedly tells you the instructions, like wear seat belt, drive on clutch and first gear, etc. You first give the 8 test. The inspector may or may not be in the car. Then you proceed for the test. Same way. You get your forms signed by the 2 inspectors for H and slope test. Take photos of all. Then give the form to the original instructor. Leave for the day. I received the approval in 18 hours. Passed. At no point did anyone want to loot you, asking for bribes, etc. Just be patient and humble. Amount paid: Learning: 270 DL: 780 Car and track fee: 300 Total: 1350 Usually agents charge 3k minimum. Documents: 1. Form 2 of DL applicaiton. 2. Form 2 of LL application 3. Appointment letter 4. Adhar copy 5. Pan copy 6. Any other adress proof in case different on adhar. Be the change you want to see in the world. Stop bribing, take the efforts. Drive safe.2
