Experience sharing - Avoid HP Pen drives

I am just sharing my experience from HP, amazon india and seller Clicktech retail pvt ltd. While this is not strictly Pune related but since I contacted some service centers in Pune I am parking it here. I bought a HP v222 pen drive from this seller on amazon india. The product page stated 1 year warranty from HP. Unfortunately the pen drive failed within a few days. HP Customer care phone support said they only offer warranty for desktop and laptops. They had no information about which are the service centers in Pune that support pen drive. They did not offer any further support. I somehow using HP service center locator section of HP official website found 2 centers. Both centers in Pune, Flextronics and Rashi denied support for this pen drive and asked me to get in touch with seller. Seller never responded to any of my messages on amazon. Amazon is now asking me to show a service denied letter which HP will never share. They do not have any such procedure. I have opened a complaint against this seller with amazon but I am not much hopeful. It’s now clear that the warranty policy stated by this seller on amazon in not to be trusted. Based on my experience I just suggest that you avoid buying HP pen drives and be careful while dealing with seller Clicktech retail pvt ltd. They have over 30% negative ratings on amazon.
