Reminder: DO NOT ADVOCATE OR CELEBRATE SOMEONE'S DEATH
Earlier today, [the CEO of UnitedHealthcare was shot and killed in Manhattan](https://www.reuters.com/world/us/unitedhealthcare-ceo-fatally-shot-ny-post-reports-2024-12-04/). **This is neither politics nor funny**, so we're not sure why some of you keep trying to make posts about it here. To be clear: - **Do not advocate for** ***or celebrate*** **someone's death** on this sub. - We *will* remove any posts or comments that break that rule. - We *may* ban anyone who breaks that rule. - That ban *might* be permanent, depending on any number of circumstances (which should not be relevant, because *you shouldn't be advocating for or celebrating anyone's death*). We understand that the American healthcare system is a goddamned shitshow, and we sympathize with the 99% of people who are rightly dissatisfied with that. We understand that it is easy to feel like *Cool and Edgy People* on the other side of a keyboard—even about a very real family's tragedy—but we do not and will not sympathize with edgelords and keyboard warriors that want to get their rocks off shitposting about someone's murder. #Do *not* get yourself banned—or potentially get *this sub* in hot water with the admins—by forgetting your basic human decency. There will be no discussion on this issue.4
