Please help regarding SBI closed account

I am a post graduate student and I am eligible for a stipend. For receiving the stipend we had to give our bank details. (Acc. No, IFSC etc). I accidentally gave the account details for an old account which was permanently closed. Now the stipend money has been processed. All my classmates recieved except me (obvious). So what happens now? Will the money go back to the sender? If so how many days would it take? Or anyother useful information to help this situation so that i can get my stipend please.
