ICICI bank unable to provide bank statement.

I need bank statements back from 2012 as a proof of employment. I checked net banking portal and it states “no transactions” for that period. I visited the branch and they are not able to help either. I understand they may have issues recovering older transaction but I need the statements as a proof.
