Credibility of Fundraiser Posts

2-3 weeks ago, I had came across a fundraising post created for some Sushil Mohanty(Diagnosed with Angiosarcoma) by his father and the said post was crossposted in r/Odisha as well. But then, the person who had crossposted it, later warned us that the fundraiser might be a fake one. I honestly don't know if the fundraiser is a real one or not but now I've again come across another Fundraiser in Ketto.org created by the brother of the same Sushil Mohanty. I'm now confused whether we should exercise caution with respect to these posts or take it as a real case.
