People demanding money in the name of god

These past few days, alot of bengali/bihari (i don't want to trigger any community people here)women have been coming to houses after house in small groups demanding for cash in the name of god. Even from teen kids if they're left alone in the home. There are few cases, i overheard from my mother's friend. The people comes in ,one after one in the same house to demand money for instinct asking for 100rs. According to my mother's friend "One of the lady refused to take 10rs from me and started demanding for 20rs and even refused to leave until and unless I pay her 20rs" . She stated If these women were really asking money in the name of god, why would they demand aggressively? (Like refusing to leave)
