a lil reflection on self esteem

hello, im a student at a school that has loads and loads of hostellers from the different states of northeast (primarily meghalaya, nagaland, and arunachal). what i've noticed is that, my hosteller friends usually have low self esteem in terms of studies or public speaking in general. although, my best friend, who's arunachali has good diction and is good at studies too (while being a hosteller). being a northeastern, ik most of us are very hospitable and kind, and have a good hold of languages; but i sense the fear of speech, and communication in many teenagers like me. i wonder if thats common; and how it can be resolved
