I used to think this kind of neglect was exclusive to NE cause i grew up reading and seeing about people being carried on backs for medical reasons from remote hill villages. Glad to know India is uniformly shitty. Even for a state just 5 hours from New Delhi.

A common entity seen nowadays is the upper caste axomisation of certain foods that were considered disgusting before Yes you guessed it right I am talking about the gahori or pork something that used to be the object of disgust for many decades is now apparently the national dish of *all axomias* who strive to be Assamese must eat it in order to be certified is one . don't get me wrong I personally love pork very much with my father being the pioneer in my family in case...
