Some people are really brainless and cutting trees for no reason

Isn’t there a proper law against cutting down trees in residential areas? I was visiting sector 15 and saw this one house, the owner has cut down two entire tall green trees. The house is in an abysmal condition and there is no maintenance done very clearly but they HAD to cut down TWO grown trees to make space for what!? Shouldn’t this be reported! As it is the pollutions levels aren’t going down only to have idiots like these cutting down whatever little greenery we do have. How do such ignorant people go scot free!?
