My Experience at Kumbh Mela – A Once-in-a-Lifetime Journey! 🌊🙏
Just got back from an unforgettable trip to Kumbh Mela, and I had to share my experience! We started our journey by train to Banaras, which, thanks to Indian Railways, was 6 hours late. After finally reaching, we took a short rest (barely 3–4 hours) and then headed straight to Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The queue was insane—8 PM to 12 AM for just 800 meters—but in the end, we got lucky and had darshan! After that, we visited Manikarnika Ghat, where we symbolically “burned our ego”—an intense experience, to say the least. Then, exhausted, we crashed at our Airbnb around 3 AM. The next morning, we took a bus ride to Prayagraj for the holy dip at Triveni Sangam. The crowd was expected, but the real challenge was the sky-high prices—electric scooters and tempos charging 20x the usual fare! Frustrating, but with family and exhaustion kicking in, we had no choice. What I truly loved about Kumbh was witnessing the diversity of India—Hindus from every corner of the country, from South India to Rajasthan, Bengal, Northeast, and even the Himalayas—all gathered for the same spiritual experience. Taking a dip in the Ganga felt like a blessing, and more than anything, I cherished the time spent with my family. Kumbh is something you experience the way you are—a mirror to your soul. Definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Would love to hear from others who’ve attended Kumbh—what was your experience like? 🌊✨3
