Does anyone else here have parents who just don't care?

I'm not ungrateful to my mother for all that she has provided for me. But sometimes I feel more like a house cat than a human being. I think the worst part is that I can totally understand why she does it. From her perspective she's just trying to enjoy her life, parenting must have been extremely annoying. I dunno, maybe I'm wrong? Just looking for opinions from other NEETs. It's like the opposite of overbearing parents, like she simply couldn't care less about most things in my life ever. But it's completely without malice. Does that make sense? Sorry if my post is a bit strange to read, I'm always very nervous to post. But I'm trying to socialize more with other people instead of lurking. Thanks for reading.
