I feel better and more capable
Hi guys I wanted to share with you that for the past few months, I have been making some small changes in my life. I share this not to boast, but to say that no matter how far in the dark pit someone is, small changes can still be made to improve quality of life and general fulfillment. I'm still lonely, don't have any irl friends, have no job, etc. still have tons of issues but things are better. I started really small and the first thing I did was commit to waking up at the same exact time every day (it was 2 or 3pm.) Eventually, I slowly added other things and now I have a decent stack of habits I do every day, and I still have 6-8 hours of time where I do what ever I want. Over the past month, I have stopped using weed and alcohol and those two things were the biggest net gain on improving my mental health. I get free therapy twice a week and it has also been helping I am making small incremental improvements on my habits and the things I do with the goal of being less depressed and more healthy. At this point, if I continue to stay stagnant and slide back into the depression, things will only get worse physically and mentally. Some day, there will be a point where I will be forced out of my comfort zone regardless of my choice. I figured it would be better to try to make some changes now while I have the comfort and choice to do so, rather than to have it forced upon me I highly recommend to all of you to start giving yourself daily tasks. Just make it one simple thing to begin, like "tidy up room for 5 minutes" then check that off. If you give it a solid effort it has a very good chance of helping you feel better. Some of you won't care about any of this and that's fine. Just wanted to share because I'm honestly shocked at the small improvements I have made, and I feel better mentally for doing so. Sometimes I smile and laugh now and thats a much better feeling than wanting to rope all the time4
