Is this normal or im messing up

At 19, I'm currently single, but every time I watch a love story, I can’t help but feel a longing for someone to share my thoughts and dreams with, someone to express myself to. But then, the next day, reality hits, and I think, No, it’s better to focus on my career. Relationships seem like a time consuming emotional rollercoaster filled with uncertainty, potential fights, and the risk of emotional instability. I’ve been burned before; after being rejected by a girl I liked, it left me with a deep scar. Now, I’m all about protecting my peace. But sometimes, I wonder.... am I being too cautious, or am I just avoiding something that could be worth the risk? Now i want your opinion on this plz
