Mobile theft Burdi

Friends, it's been a few weeks since my mother's mobile phone was stolen in Burdi near Haldiram. We have made a complaint to the police station and have got no news about it since then. Has anyone ever experienced mobile theft, and has police ever helped to get it back coz I don't see it coming back now.
