Renting a Bike from Mysore to Ooty

I'm planning a trip from Mysore to Ooty and would love to rent a bike for the journey. Is it possible to rent a bike in Mysore and take it to Ooty? If so, can anyone recommend reliable rental services? Any tips on road conditions or permit requirements would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
