I will escape the middle class curse.

This is a promise I’m making to myself. I’m currently a 22 year old woman. Earning around 30k per month. I had so many dreams that were shattered because well my parents aren’t rich. In the next 2 years, I will work day and night, no matter what it takes no matter how many plans I have to say no to, no matter how many friends I lose, no matter how depressed it makes me. I’m okay dying while working towards changing my livelihood but I’m not okay dying...

How Can I Develop the Quick Thinking & Social Skills of an MBA Grad or MBB consultants?

I’m 25F, and I admire how MBA grads & MBB consultants seem to have sharp thinking, quick responses, and great social skills. They handle situations smartly, give well-thought-out answers on the spot, and come up with solid ideas effortlessly at work. Right now, I feel like I take too much time to think before answering, and I struggle with social interactions. I know improving these skills will take time, but I want to actively work on them. For those who’ve developed these skills (or are naturally good at them),...

PG Situation in Mumbai Goregaon Area.

Hi Mumbaikars! I want to know how is the availability of PGs around the NESCO IT Park Goregaon area? I might have to move there and I don't have really a lot of money to pay deposit and rent a 1 BHK then setup furniture, internet, gas etc so I was wondering are there any reliable PGs there or is the PG culture not there in Mumbai like other cities? Also how is the average rent around the area for single room?

Suggest me places for a Solo date

Helu peeps, I'm looking for recommendations for places in Mumbai where I can take myself on a solo date and truly fall in love with the city. I’d love spots that offer a mix of serenity, great views, or even a cultural experience. Whether it's a quiet sea-facing café, an underrated heritage site, or a scenic walk, I'd love to hear your suggestions! Bonus points if it’s budget-friendly. Thanks in advance!

Will I Survive in ₹25K in West Vashi?

Hey Mumbai folks! I’m planning to move to West Vashi for work and was wondering if a budget of ₹ 25-28K per month would be enough to survive. This includes rent, food, and basic expenses. * I’m okay with a shared apartment or a PG. * My office is nearby, so daily travel costs won’t be much. * I don’t have a very lavish lifestyle—mostly home-cooked food, occasional eating out. I like to know how realistic this budget is! Any tips or recommendations for affordable housing and cost-cutting would...

    Where to live and play??

Iam ready to pay 40-45K p.m in BKC as my office is in BKC. However, I need sports in my life and badminton/squash courts are charging 1500-2000 per hour which is insane. I am sure I will be playing for atleast 20-30 hours monthly and cannot afford this much cash outflow even if I consider we are dividing it by 3/4. Should I look to rent around Andheri West of go in a society which offers atleast swimming or badminton? Never thought that even spending this much money does...

Visited Haji Ali Dargah today after years and here’s what I observed

    1. The Dargah is being run very poorly by the trust. No proper infrastructure and no around to assist or provide any sort of control/support. 2. The route towards the Dargah has improved massively, the tunnel like structure built in the route helps in the scorching heat. Very well appreciated. 3. The no of beggars has reduced a lot. Years ago, the place was filled with beggars of all sorts, the numbers have gone down significantly. 4. No of shops have reduced as well. Not sure about the reason...

My iphone 15 got stolen at MBP,Mahape,Navi Mumbai and I cant stop my tears

This is a repost from r/navimumbai because the post didnt reach more people there. I travel from Kopar Khairane to MBP every day. Yesterday, we had planned to watch the movie Chhava, so I left the office early, around 4:30 - 5:00 PM. I boarded the 525L Vashi bus, and as soon as I got in, I felt someone pushing my hand. I always keep my left hand on my left pocket, where I keep my phone. Suddenly, I realized my phone was missing. I panicked and shouted, "Majha...

Travelling to Sakinaka is a nightmare.

Wtf is up with Sakinaka? I have to travel everyday from Chembur to Sakinaka. Takes me 1 hr+, and it’s just 7 kms on paper. Traffic is insufferable. And don’t even suggest odd hours. It’s packed all the fucking time. So much construction is going on, and multiple lane closures at the same time. Not to forget that place is FILTHY! I know I sound privileged, but what’s this way of living man? Kachra on the road, butcher shops displaying dead animals on the open, people spitting anywhere. It...

Is dust from Chh. Shivaji Park a real issue for residents?

I’m moving to Dadar with my family and have rented a place right in front of Shivaji Park. My mom is elderly and sensitive to dust, so I’m concerned about whether the soil and dust from the park might be an issue. I’ve heard mixed opinions—some say it’s a problem, while others say it’s not a big deal. Anyone living in the area who can share their experience? P.S. My dad has a thing for Dadar, so we have to live here only! :)
