What happened to Mumbai

I visit Mumbai twice a year after leaving the country 23yrs ago. Trips have always been awesome but the last 2yrs especially this year has been awful. Ridiculously expensive (cheaper in USD but still very expensive) horrible air quality, horrendous traffic(literally chaos) they trying to run u over when u cross the streets, lot more ppl on the streets (mostly men), garbage almost everywhere, rich have gotten nastier, ppl in general have lost humanity and they r just fighting to survive. It’s just sad to see Mumbai become this way. The temples r overcrowded too. I am ready to go back before my 2 weeks r done. I try to travel by trains sometimes (off-peak) but it’s still unbearable. When I am at St.Regis and travel around in a Beamer taxi then it’s fine but that’s not the real Mumbai. Just sad…sorry if this offends u.
