Suggestions for pocket friendly drink and dine

I got my birthday on this Saturday and I'm confused in finding a place to organize a dinner and drinks for 6-7 of my friends. I don't want a really shady bar neither do I want an extremely fancy one. Something which gets decent crowd, not too expensive but still looks good with a decent ambience. Also an approx on how much it'll cost me at your suggested place would be great help. Thanks!!
