Local taxis vs ola cabs

I recently came to Mumbai for exam purposes and after exams i planned to visit the sidhi vinayak which was almost 12kms from my hotel. I booked an ola in the morning and it charged 200. Now from siddhivinayak I went to shri Mahalakshmi which was almost 7-8kms for which ola was showing 98₹ while I went for local taxi as it was easily available without asking the price. On reaching there I asked for the price, he told ₹204 i asked what's the price/km, he said 28₹/km. What's the USP of the local taxis apart from their quick availability? P.S. - i don't like it here, everyone is trying to make fool out of you.
