Accomodation in Mumbai

Are there any ways of finding flat/flatmates in Mumbai without brokerage? I've heard of many scams where the brokers end up asking for brokerage every year. Additionally, flat & flatmates on Facebook is another option but it's extremely chaotic and filterless to say the least. I've heard of dreamacco but not sure how reliable it is. 1. Please let me know if there's any platforms to find apartments in a safe and reliable way here 2. How reliable is the monorail as a daily transport option? I've heard it isn't as frequent and misses timings. Is it usually as crowded as local trains during peak time and the metro? I've also heard it's not a safe option to travel by during the monsoon season as the track gets very slippery and is extremely irregular/gets stuck. Looking to find some clarity on these things. Would appreciate any advise!
