Hotel advice please Hello I'm from Hyderabad and I'm visiting Mumbai for the first time. We are friends of 4 and are looking for decent stays that are affordable at around 1500-2500 per day. However when I looked online, all I could find aren't good and overpriced for the amenities and the locality, and I'm worried about the safety and privacy. We're planning to stay near Shree Siddhivinayak Temple or around Marine Drive (3-5kms away, nearest ones are too expensive). Or you could suggest me any area that's ideal to stay and... 3 0 replies
Police verification for students not living with parents (F 20) - Passport So basically am a student not living with parents (in Mumbai). I will go to the PSK office within this week, and I don't have my student ID or signed certificate from a director with me. I obviously cannot go to my college rn, so what do I do in this situation. Also my address was changed just today in aadhar, I think it is yet to be reflected in E-aadhar, so would the receipt of the address change done at the aadhar seva centre suffice? Tysm 2 3 replies

People, especially auto drivers spitting on roads. So after a lot of months, I travelled across Mumbai, to the outskirts. While I stopped at various traffic signals and even major highways, I noticed so so many people, auto drivers, cab drivers spit paan directly on the road. People opening doors just to spit. It’s such a filthy mess, disgusting civic sense and just horrible. A new setup was built a few meters away from my building boasting posh electronic stores and cafés. The pavements were re made and within 2 weeks of them being made I... 1 3 replies
I don't know what to do So this happened with me recently when one of my guy friend(been friends with him for almost 5+ years now) sent me a very dirty text one night expecting me to revert to that in the same way. But I texted him 'sent to the wrong person' cuz I know he got a gf but for my text he replied ' No, I didn't'. I was shook bcz he did the same thing again and asked him why he would do that. Turns out his girlfriend isn't sexting or... 5 10 replies
I was stopped for holding a vape. Hey all. Just wanted to share an incident that happened with me today. I was heading home from work and my rickshaw had just exited Andheri East on the highway. 2 men on a motorbike suddenly came next to the rickshaw and asked him to stop immediately. The driver constantly asked them what’s wrong but they were not giving him answers and I had my headphones on, scrolling through my phone. Finally, I noticed them and asked them what the problem was, they said it was the vape in... 1 10 replies
Why is mental health check up so expensive? So a week back I got a terrible panic attack and my hands and face got completely stiff. To the point that I could not move my fingers or speak. After experiencing this, I felt restless for the next 2 days as well and then I finally decided to see a psychiatrist to understand that even after 3 years of good therapy why all of a sudden this happened. The doctor told me that my anxiety is out of hand I will be put on medication. The doctor fees... 1 4 replies
Lessons from 1.5 year long relationship Hi everyone, I was in a long-term relationship with the best girl for the past 1.5 years. During the relationship, I learnt a lot of lessons, especially on how girls work and what they want in a relationship... This could be a long post so bear with it and these are my personal opinions I'm not imposing or generalising any gender here. **Meeting her** I was very lucky to meet her, we met on Hinge vibed but eventually, I got ghosted, I felt a spark so I stalked her... 2 10 replies
Visited Jio Hamley’s Wonderland and it was a sheer disappointment I (28M) visited the Jio Hamley’s Wonderland on Christmas with my wife (27F) - though the place was absolutely sparkling with Christmas flair, it seemed nothing less than a cash-grab event. Starting from the high entry fee (INR 1500 per person on Christmas), I expected atleast a few activities to be covered in the fee. Unfortunately, every single - and I mean every single activity inside was paid and that too not for cheap. From small-sized ferris wheel costing INR 350 per person to basic arcade games costing INR... 2 10 replies
What are some ways all of us can commonly adopt (& stick to it) to fight back against workplace toxicity of any form? I’m thinking this is far better than just ranting online and doing nothing about it. Naming & shaming companies doesn’t do zilch to improve the situation - just look the number of companies mentioned on the Indian Reddiverse, you’ll know. If almost every workplace is bad and we’re being abused and keep taking it, why should we keep waiting for a breaking point? I’m a Millennial and just like our previous generation we are supposed to keep hush about these things, but why? I might be generalizing but Gen... 3 0 replies

Don't click if you don't want to spoil your day! Rant Alert! The following paragraph is written by my younger brother. Today me and some of my friends went to a local ground near a police quarter. (Just for your knowledge there is no other open cricket ground in a 5 km radius) We were playing cricket from 8 am in the morning and then suddenly at around 9:30 some policemen from the quarters came over, took our stumps and bats and walked away. We were shocked for a moment! Some of my friends had brought their bicycles and they... 5 0 replies

Is this the case with most gyms in Mumbai? I recently enrolled at Fitness First gym in Santacruz West. The property is fairly new and located at a prime location. The prices are really high (₹45,900 for a year) but somehow the sales rep and the manager lured me into purchasing the membership. The issue is that I'm a beginner (I had worked out almost a decade ago at a gymkhana I'm a member of, and most of my memory for use of equipment has faded). The floor trainers do not pay heed to the clients whatsoever, they... 1 10 replies
