Women roommates in Powai Hi, I currently live in Powai, Mumbai, with my boyfriend most of the time. However, I need an alternate space for occasional use when hosting friends, family, etc. I’ve previously tried sharing a room on a double-occupancy basis, but I realized I rarely use it and end up paying high rent unnecessarily. So, I’m looking to share a room with a few(more than 2) like-minded girls/women who also need a space for occasional use. This way, we can make it more economical for everyone. If this sounds like something... 3 0 replies

Escaped kidnapping. How can I help? I’m feeling completely useless here and I’m not sure what would help but is there anything I can do? For context, I’m home for the holidays (I’m a student so live elsewhere) and recently ran into my maid, that hasn’t been coming for a few weeks. She’s like family to me and one of the only few friends that I have left in the city so I was very concerned when she suddenly disappeared. When I finally did run into her, I told her of how much I missed... 1 1 replies
Indian Shoppers, Please Help: Why Do You Prefer COD and Sometimes Reject Orders? Hey everyone, I've been running an Indian e-commerce business for a few months now, and there's one recurring challenge that I face: most customers prefer cash on delivery (COD) over prepaid orders. While COD offers convenience and trust to customers, it significantly affects cash flow for businesses like mine. What makes it worse is the high RTO (return to origin) rate. Many customers reject or don’t accept the order when it reaches their doorstep. This means businesses have to bear both forward and reverse shipping charges, which adds to... 3 9 replies

Western Express Highway - a rant I don't know why one of the most important routes that acts like a backbone from North to South Mumbai is so poorly maintained. So many bad patches, such bad maintenance, the car is jerking every 2 seconds on some bad patch job. The metro pillars damaged the right lane, and it is so uneven. You can feel so many pushes and jerks throughout, idk what is wrong with the BMC and/or the government. I know there's no point in crying out loud but what do we even so... 5 1 replies
How Do I Stop Friends and Relatives from Taking Advantage of My Streaming Subscriptions? Hey Reddit, I’ve got a bit of a problem, and I’m hoping for some advice. I pay for streaming subscriptions like Hotstar, SonyLIV, and Prime Video all on my own. But the issue is, my friends and relatives keep asking for my login details. When I suggest that we share the cost and buy it together, they’re not interested. Then after some time they’ll say, “Oh, I just need it for this weekend” or “It’s just for one show.” I give in because I don’t want to be rude,... 1 10 replies

Are Mumbai landlords always cheap no matter where you rent? It seems to be the case because I've rented from acorss rent ranges now in western suburbs to south of this city. While I do get the cheapness 1bhk landlords display generally -- especially if you're a bachelor (example,, won't tidy up the place before giving it, won't give a basic kitchen, won't care to fix if stuff is already broken, and of course bachelors for them are as good as animals so why care), but what is with the attitude of landlords giving out 2bhk and above homes... 2 1 replies
