Why is mental health check up so expensive?

So a week back I got a terrible panic attack and my hands and face got completely stiff. To the point that I could not move my fingers or speak. After experiencing this, I felt restless for the next 2 days as well and then I finally decided to see a psychiatrist to understand that even after 3 years of good therapy why all of a sudden this happened. The doctor told me that my anxiety is out of hand I will be put on medication. The doctor fees was 2500 the meds were for 1000 and then he asked me to get a MCMI test which was for 4500. And I have to go see the doctor again after 2 weeks and pay 1500. And 1500 again if I want more help. As much as I need this treatment, I feel like it is too costly for a person.
