People are heartless and Coward

Let me tell you the full story: My mother just came home from the garden. Upon returning, she told me that outside the garden, there were four people beating a vegetable vendor. While they were beating him, 20 to 30 people were watching, but no one stopped them; everyone was just observing. For your information, that vendor is not from the garden-side area. There are many other vendors as well, but since this vendor sells vegetables cheaply and offers good quality, people buy from him more than from other vendors. That's why they beat him and told him never to come to that area again. I want to ask if our population is really full of cowardly people.
