Parents forcing me to buy a flat

Hello Mumbai, I'm a 27 M, from Mumbai My parents are forcing me to buy a flat in Mumbai just because they think that it will increase my chances of getting marriage approvals. I desperately need your advice. I don't want to fall into a trap as I just started earning(2019 to be specific but lock down took away 2 years) and haven't had may friends so haven't experienced anything in life yet. I fear that paying 50 to 60% of salary as EMI for 15 years is going to take away a lot of experience I would have had. What do you guys feel? Is buying a home at 27 necessary?
