  • Horrible experience with ola driver from mumbai airport

    Booked an OLA last night from mumbai airport at around 6:30 pm. Got a call from the ola driver, met him at P4 parking, sat inside and gave him the otp, sent the live tracking from the app to my family. After driving out of the airport, I get calls from my parents saying they can't track my live location meanwhile I'm just settling into the car. I check my app and it says failed update (or something similar). The driver says " haan ma'am pata nahi mujhe bhi failed dikh raha hain". I couldn't get down in the middle of the road as I was alone n wanted to reach home asap. I tell him to drop me at my end destination and I'll pay him the cost I saw on the app while booking (Rs 553). He says " aise kaise itna kam toh nahi hota, uber pe 1000 dikh raha hain".I check the ola app and the cost that moment was also close to the initial cost I saw while booking and nowhere close to what he was claiming. I got the clue that moment that he was upto no good. I had to reach home so I cut the argument short n asked him to drive me home. He also charged me the worli sea link toll which I'm sure is included in the ola cost. I reached home and asked him to explain himself. Dude started creating a scene, came closer and started misbehaving, I stood my ground and was ready for any arguments he had. My mom was right behind me, she didnt want a scene, he saw my mom as the soft target and raised his voice even more, we gave him the money he asked n kicked him out of the bldg. While I'm aware we shouldn't have paid him the amount but it happened in the heat of the moment and we just wanted him out of the premise. I checked OLA app to find that he had cancelled the ride and therefore there's no record of it on OLA. Tried contacting customer care...but couldn't find a proper responsive communication channel.
