Celebrated my mom's birthday away from home with the people who deserve all the respect and appreciation for feeding me.
So, last month it was my mom's birthday and I celebrated it with the mess staff of my MBA college. It's a ritual which my mother and I have started from the past many years where we will do something special for the poor/needy or the people who deserve appreciation and recognition. So I called my mother on her birthday and told her that I want to celebrate her birthday with the mess staff of my MBA college. Ordered 3 cakes for around 18-20 people (sufficient ho gaya tha for them). Luckily, on the same day it was my friend's mom's birthday too. So hum dono ki mummy ka bday we celebrated with them. I fed cake to each and every one of them and they all were just so very happy! One of the workers there was like "Sir, itna kharcha kyun?" and I asked him back "Aap bataiye! Last cake kab khaya tha aapne?" And he was like "Yaad nahi hai. Kaafi time ho gaya". For them eating a cake is also a privilege ig. Ngl. The next day their boss was waiting for me to come after he got to know about it and he just thanked me so much. He was like "aapne mere ladko ko khush kar diya aur unka khayal rakha. Big big thank-you". And from that very day all the people in the mess just treat me differently. 2 gulab jamun ke badle 4 gulab jamun 😂 2 eggs ke badle 3 etc. It's just me and 5-6 other friends of mine who know about this. No one else on the campus is aware about it and I don't even wanna make it look hence, I am posting this here :)1
