Can Auto Rickshaws be more safe?

there are many road accidents taking place nowadays in our country. More than half of the population use auto rickshaws as transport from one place to another. In the case of an accident people get injured and sometimes die if the situation is intense. What new simple and innovative design/component YOU would prefer to have in an auto rickshaw to keep yourself safe in the case of an accident?
