Airtel AirFiber Nightmare: Slow Speeds, Clueless Support, and Endless Frustration

I need to share my absolutely terrible experience with Airtel AirFiber because this level of service is just unacceptable. The Installation While the AirFiber installation was completed in a day, everything has gone downhill since. The Issue I raised a on December 14th about slow speeds. I’m on a 100 Mbps plan, but I’ve been stuck with speeds as low as 4 Mbps—making even basic browsing impossible. Worse, it has severely disrupted my wife’s ability to work from home. The Support Disaster For almost a week, I’ve been waiting for a technician to visit and resolve the issue. The customer support team has been completely unhelpful—most are clueless, some are outright rude, and no one takes responsibility. To highlight yesterday’s (19-Dec-2024) interactions: 1. Mr. Sunny Shah: Was rude, couldn’t explain the delay, and gave me a technician’s number. Promised a senior callback that never came. 2. Mr. Amol (Technician): When I called, he said he was on leave and couldn’t connect me to anyone else. 3. Ms. Nikita: Rude and dismissive. Told me to wait an hour for a callback, then chastised me for calling multiple times. 4. Ms. Karthika: Repeated the same “don’t call multiple times” script and reluctantly transferred me back to Sunny. 5. Mr. Sachin: From the escalation team, but offered no resolution—just more vague promises. 6. Saurabh Kumar: Extremely rude to my wife, and when she asked to speak to a supervisor, he hung up on her. The Follow-Up Since Sunday, my wife and I have made 14 calls, spending over 3 hours on the phone, only to be passed around and ignored. The Decision I’ve been an Airtel customer for 15 years, with 4 postpaid connections, DTH, and AirFiber, but this experience has left me no choice but to discontinue all my connections. If you’re considering Airtel AirFiber, save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.
