Need advise

I am going buy my first ride. Right now I have enough money to buy a Duke 250 in cash but I always want to buy the Continental GT 650Ever since I took it for a test ride. so I am thinking of paying the same amount of cash as the down payment for the bike . Will it be right to do this or not
