Help this newbie rider
Let’s say a person is riding on a single lane two way road, and his destination is on the other side of the road, the road has quite a lot of traffic thus, it’s not possible to turn without waiting for vehicles on the other side of the road giving you way to cross, in such case, is the rider supposed to stop on the side of the road or on the middle of the road( so that vehicles behind him can cross him from his left) . Some of you might say that the person should wait on the side of the road cause it’s safer for them as well as others on the road, and I do agree on that but let’s be honest, it’s India and there are way too many cars here to wait for the traffic to clear up. Things like “Right of Way” don’t really work here, if you were to follow that , you’d be stuck whole day. While stopping in centre of the road seems more practical, ( as cars behind you don’t have to stop, they can move from your left,) it’s not the safest. What’s your take on this? I’m still new to riding so I’m sorry if the question is stupid. Just tryna be a better rider. Thank you. Also I’ve attached two pictures of both scenarios if someone is confused3
