Confused

I am a first time biker. I have extensively driven my honda activa (2012 model). It’s almost near its end. I have been contemplating buying a duke 390 or duke 250. What do you guys suggest? For context, I used to be a rash driver when I was younger but now I have slowed down quite a bit. I was initially planning to take a Yamaha Aerox but wanted something a little more powerful.
