Advice please ! Goan Classic 350
Hey everyone, I’m still trying to process this, but I had to share it here. My birthday is on 19th Feb, and that’s the day we’ll be taking delivery of my brand new Purple Royal Enfield Classic 350 Goan. The paperwork is done, just waiting to bring it home. Coming from a middle class family, owning a Royal Enfield has always been a dream. My dad is a huge RE fan too. A few days ago, he was on a trip and saw a Purple Goan Classic 350 parked outside his hotel. He fell in love with it instantly, took a picture, and sent it to me asking, “How’s this one?” I told him it’s a newly launched model from December, super rare, I haven’t even seen one in my city yet. Yesterday, he said he had some office work and went out. Turns out, he secretly went to the showroom, booked the bike, did all the financing, and today he revealed the surprise. I was completely shocked. I’ve just started working, and I’m planning to take over the EMIs soon because I don’t want him to handle it alone. But honestly, I can’t help but feel a bit guilty, do I even deserve such an expensive gift? Also, here’s the thing, I don’t properly know how to ride a bike yet. I’ll be learning on this one. My dad’s license has expired, so he’s asking me who will take the delivery. I’ve got no clue how it all works. This is my first bike that’s truly mine. We had a Pulsar AS 150 and a Platina before, but my dad managed everything. I didn’t know much about taking care of bikes. So, fellow bikers, I really need your help: 1. What should I check when taking delivery? 2. How do I maintain the bike properly? 3. What essentials should I buy for the bike? 4. Any tips for handling a bike like this as a beginner? I’m beyond happy right now. I don’t usually cry, but I had tears in my eyes when he surprised me. This isn’t just a bike, it’s a dream come true. TLDR: My dad surprised me with a Purple RE Classic 350 Goan for my birthday. It’s my first bike, I don’t know much about riding or bike maintenance. Need tips for delivery, essentials, and how to handle it. Super happy and emotional. Thanks in advance for any advice, really appreciate it!2
