A week off from work!

Hello I'm planning to visit Mangalore - solo (M48) Dec 26th to 30th, have visited Mlore multiple times, im from BLR. Could you suggest a place /accommodation where i can just pass time idle, a beach front, drink some beer and pass time enjoying the view :) and some places / temples to visit on a bike (can i rent?) I have always driven around with family before, so not sure of rental scenes. Was thinking Mlore, Malpe, Kundapura, Kodi Bengare (was here the last time) something unexplored, silent etc..
