Is Loyalty, Communication, and Respect Enough for a Marriage?

If a partner doesn’t bring anything to the table - whether emotionally, financially or in terms of effort, are "loyalty, communication, and respect" alone enough to stay in a marriage, especially when kids are involved? I wish to hear from our mangalorean men.
