How welcoming is marathi film industry to an outsider?

I have seen people talk about bollywood being a hard case to crack but haven't seen much about marathi film industry. Maybe due to the fact that Bollywood and MFI are both based in Mumbai and people prefer struggling for bollywood than MFI. But how hard and welcoming is the marathi film industry as an actor, editor, producer, director, etc comparatively? How much nepotism is there in this industry?
