Intially whitewashing attempts only came from Hindu Mahasabha and his community but since 1990s it has become a far right thing. These days retards based on whatsapp forwards or alt versions of history have started glorifying him. zero shits given to the fact that he was a murder who attempted assassinations thrice from 1944.
