So I belong to tier 3 city in Maharashtra. From my childhood to now 18 years , I never got to know much about caste . In my school no one was asking me my religion or caste ( Nagpur) , even in the area I am living here there are 2-3 muslim houses ,2-3 sc houses and many obs houses . No one discriminated against me in my life , my whole life I was feeling there is no casteism now . Now I have option to move in Mumbai or Pune for my higher studies . So I want to know is there any caste things , casteist people in colleges and all . Is this real thing ? Should I hide it ? I also have one bad incident , when I was in 4th class I had a bestfriend till 8th we were good friends suddenly he moved to uttarpradesh for some years , when he came back to same school in 10th he asked me my caste , I also answered him casually 'SC' at that time he said me chamar openly , I don't even know it's meaning and after that one of my friend told me real meaning about his I felt so bad , I stopped talking with him. 'I KNOW ITS NOT THAT BIG THING , BUT SMALL THINGS SHOWS HOW THE PERSON IS IN REALITY.
