Marathas have a terrible legacy that has been whitewashed only because they're Hindus

How many of my marathi brothers know this? This period was so brutal that there are poems and stories about Borgis raping, killing and torturing Bengalis in that era. I'm not saying there needs to be an apology today by Marathis to Bengalis. But acknowledging this dark chapter is the bare minimum to do. Unfortunately, the opposite has happened and it has been completely erased from popular understanding of the history of India. The irony is it's not even that old.
