Rendering on Windows VM - Performance

The main computer I use for work is Windows. I'm considering switching to a Mac mini both because it would be a performance upgrade and it would replace a fairly large tower case. My laptop is already an MB Air which I love and another reason I'm considering switching is to make going back and forth with my laptop easier. Most of what I do would run on a Mac with no problems but there are a couple of simulation programs I need which are Windows only. I've run VMs before for programming and doing small tasks but never for any heavy loads. It seems like UTM is a popular option. I'm wondering how well something like UTM running Windows would handle rendering tasks that max out CPU and memory. Is it going to be able to use the Mac mini's full performance power? Will it be stable? Or would the Mac OS make the VM crash when it tries to fully load the computer? Otherwise I could keep my PC around for when I need it and have it in another room to remote into but I'd rather be able to get rid of it.
