Pages App Using Significant Energy

Hello! I am relatively new to MacOS and have been enjoying my experience so far. My Device is a M3 Air - 16, 256GB variant. I have recently switched over from MS Word to the pre-installed Pages App. So far that switch has gone without much issue. But today for the first time after what seemed about 3 hours of work, i felt the device noticablely warm to touch. At the same time there was a notification that Pages was "using significant energy" under battery icon. I took a break and closed the app. Upon reopening the document and working on it again my device again was warm and the same notification returned. Can anyone let me know what's the issue here if any and what steps should i take to rectify this?
