No Options to Resize Font on External Display

I just set up my MacBook Pro (M1 chip, Ventura 13.0.1) with a new external monitor (27", 2560x1440), and am finding that the text is too small for me at the native resolution. I can zoom in on many apps, but this doesn't help things like UI. On the built-in display, it is possible to change the text size: https://preview.redd.it/y7he6g1os97e1.png?width=478&format=png&auto=webp&s=9bfd46d82cfdaaac0f45f68b1714aa272e70ff8f I've been told that this should be an option for the external display as well, but it's not there. It wasn't possible with my older, lower resolution external monitor either. [This post from two years ago](https://www.reddit.com/r/MacOS/comments/11fjy11/macos_ventura_external_display_not_showing_font/) describes the same problem, but none of the suggested solutions work for me. I've tried connecting directly using USB-C, as well as both HDMI and DisplayPort through my Anker hub, so I don't think it's a cable problem. I've also tried toggling which is the main/extended display, with no luck. Changing to a lower resolution obviously makes the text bigger, but I picked this monitor because I wanted high resolution with more screen real estate - I just also want to be able to interact with the UI without squinting (and would love to be able to stop zooming in/out of windows every time I drag them from built in to external). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
