Messages no longer show contact names and photos.

Since I first updated to Sequoia, my Messages app no longer shows the contact names and photos. I’ve checked in the Contacts app, my iCloud contacts are there, “On my Mac” is empty. I’ve tried going into Accounts and disabling/enabling the accounts but nothing seems to be working. Has anyone seen this? The few results on Google haven’t helped.
