    MacOS 5k2k native resolution

Hi, I just bought a LG 40wp95c-w with a native resolution of 5120x2160. I struggle to use this monitor in it's native resolution. The text is really blurry. I understand the mac is not great at scaling, but I was under the impression that the native resolution of the monitor required no scaling, thus looking great. I have install better display and managed to get HiDPI at 3840x1620, and it's really crisp, but I would really like the native resolution (I find 3840x1620 too big) I tried using the Virtual Display option, the text got crisp, but I started to have fluidity issue, especially with my mouse, pointer felt laggy. So my question is, why can't I just have the Mac output in the monitor native resolution? (I am very new to all of this, so I might likely be missing key concepts)
