MacBook doesn’t recognize my iPad for sidecar

My 2017 MBA (15.2) doesn’t give me the option to use my 2024 iPad Mini (18.2) for sidecar. Both devices are connected to WiFi, Bluetooth, Airdrop and Handoff are on, too. What can I do?
